At the age of 14 he was walking back home one evening when he came upon a young boy perhaps a few years younger than he standing up to 2 men that had been harassing a young woman. Shakir awoke the next morning to his door being kicked in, Kingsguard soldiers came crashing in to his home. He panicked but before he could do anything the boy stood and in a strong confident tone ordered the men to stand down. The men immediately complied, Shakir was dumbstruck.
